AIZAWL, Feb 11 � In a significant verdict on a child rapist, a 44-year old man has been sentenced to 10 years after he was found guilty of raping a minor.
Lalengliana was accused of molesting and raping minors in different hamlets of Aizawl in the past. The high court in Aizawl has been investigating his case for many days and delivered verdict on Thursday which the Court pronounced that his crime was heinous.
Lalengliana was further accused of sexually molesting some of the school students of Zemabawk School, about 6 kms from the State capital in the past. He was in fact arrested in 2006 and was later released on bail. Police informed that Lalengliana did not give up his habit of enticing minors after he was released from police custody.
