Cancer patients� meet held at Jorabat

JORABAT, April 4 - The North East Cancer Hospital and Research Institute (NECHRI) is organising its seventh treated cancer patients� meet on its premises at Jorabat on April 7 with a daylong programme.

Cancer patients of the Northeast India, treated in any cancer hospital of India up to 2017, would be provided free check-up and investigations, including CT Scan, X-ray, Ultrasound and blood test.

Kandarpa Saikia, trustee of NECHRI, said that post treated patients are also welcomed and are requested to bring their original documents related to their earlier treatment.

Dr NN Barman, former Principal of GMCH, Nitya Borah, Editor of vernacular daily Asomiya Pratidin and Dr Mukul Gogoi, Secretary of Health, Govt of Assam, will attend the programme.
