RANGIYA, April 5 - The next biennial conference of the All Assam Kalita Janagosthi Students� Union will be held on April 7 and 8 at Mentkai Pathaar of Karara village near here.
During the programme, selection of the new committee, discussion on the Union�s affairs and strategy and community homage will be paid by singing prayers and lighting earthen lamps in memory of those who were killed in 1998 by militants, at Kekerikuchi of Rangiya on the very day of Uruka during Magh Bihu.
A colourful cultural procession will also be taken out on the concluding day of the programme. President Jibeswar Medhi and other office bearers, on behalf of the organisers, have solicited the presence and participation of all concerned to make the programme a success.
