GUWAHATI, Sept 5 - Assam paddler Bardie Boro, scholarship holder of OIL, has been picked in Indian team for the Major International Table Tennis Circuit to be held at Wels, Austria in September for his consistent performance at National level. He will again represent India in another Major Super Series in European tournament in Belgium just after the Austria meet. Bardie won double crown in the group of U-19 of CBSE School held at Indore recently.
The other selected players to represent India in the above tournaments are G Sathein, Hermit Desai (only senior), Abhisek Yadav, S Grover and Nishad Shah for both youth and senior. There are five girls also who have been selected for the meets.
Rokibul Hussain, president of Assam Table Tennis Association and Tridib Duvarah, secretary, ATTA, congratulated Bardie for this achievement.
