Two held with with 1 kg of suspected morphine in Diphu

Diphu, August 23: Two drug peddlers were held today with 1000gms of suspected morphine by Karbi Anglong police during a Naka checking led by Majuli Gogoi, IC Laharijan PP and staff at around 12.30 pm, police sources said.

The contraband suspected morphine was recovered from a passenger bus bearing registration No AS-09C-6054. During the thorough search of the vehicle two packets of polythene containing 1000 Gms (1 KG) of suspected Morphine have been recovered concealed under the seat.

In this connection, two persons comprising Sanjeet Kumar (27) son of Laxman Choudhary resident of Rajepur , district East Champaran, Bihar and Anand Ray, son of Ram N Ray of Zeliangrong of Dimapur, Nagaland have been apprehended.
