Guwahati, Oct 25: A massive fire broke out in Goalpara district of Assam on Wednesday morning where at least seven houses turned to ashes following the inferno.
According to reports, the cause of the blaze is suspected to be due to a short circuit in one of the houses and later it spread across the other houses in the area.
The incident took place in Goalpara’s Dolgoma area, where properties worth several lakhs were gutted to the ground.
Following the incident, locals sprung into action and took control of the fire.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.
