Tihu, June 1: Amidst the threat of Covid-19 pandemic, a rare specis of golden water Monitor (Guie sap) was rescued at New Baniakuchi of Tihu on May 30.
According to the information received, the species was found in a campus of a family and after seeing it the local people immediately reported to the Tihu police.
The police then collected it and handed over to the forests department.
