Four arrested with Yaba tablets worth rupees 50 lakhs

Hailakandi, July 11: Karimganj police recovered Yaba tablets worth rupees fifty lakh and arrested four persons including a woman from Assam-Tripura bordering Patherkandi area.

During the operation at the house of one Rakib Uddin in Panighat village of Achimganj under Patherkandi Police Station on Saturday night, these tablets were recovered. Police team was also attacked by some youths but it was foiled by the police personnel. Nasir Uddin, 26, Abdul Kadir, 66, Saifulla, 32 and Abdullah, 26. Police did not reveal the name of the arrested woman. 

Police said that all the arrested persons attacked the police team during the search. Interrogation is going on, said the Superintendent of Police, Padmanabha Baruah.
