Fake Aadhaar centre unearthed in Hailakandi

Hailakandi, July 18, Police unearthed a fake Aadhaar enrolment centre in Bakrihaor area of Hailakandi district and arrested two persons connected with it on Saturday.

The officer in charge of Panchgram police station, Mridul Bora informed that getting information from secret sources they have raided a house of Bakrihaor village part five and seized some machines and other equipment connected with the enrolment of Aadhaar cards. Two persons namely, Nur Alam and Anawarul Alam Laskar have been arrested, Bora said.


Another Fazal Ahmed Laskar managed to escape from the spot, police said. Police further informed that they used to take rupees five hundred for making an Aadhaar card. A case has been filed in this connection, police said.
