Guwahati, Mar 12: In a major blow to the Congress party, the vice president of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee, Dwijen Sharma, resigned from his post on Tuesday, ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
In his resignation letter, the vice president mentioned that he resigned from his post as vice president with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, the reason behind his resignation has not been mentioned yet.
