Arunachal reports 16 more COVID-19 cases

ITANAGAR, June 1 - In the highest-ever spike in COVID-19 cases, Arunachal Pradesh on Monday reported 16 more cases, taking the state�s tally to 20. Active cases rose to 19, as one patient has recovered.

All 16 new cases are returnees from various parts of the country � 14 from Haryana and one each from Delhi and Chennai. They all are asymptomatic and will be managed in a COVID care centre, said Dr Lobsang Jampa, state surveillance officer, Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme.

He said 14 are in Changlang and one each in Tawang and Namsai districts. All of them are being kept in facility quarantine as per SOP for persons returning from outside.
