ITANAGAR, May 6 - Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has greeted the people of the State on the occasion of Buddha Purnima, which will be observed tomorrow.

A devout Buddhist himself, Khandu said Buddha Jayanti is an important day in the lives of Buddhists, but Buddha Purnima holds specific importance as it falls on a full moon day considered truly holy.

He called upon the people, irrespective of their religious affiliations, to take time out to reflect on Lord Buddhas teachings of compassion, peace and honesty the virtues that are losing out to modern days materialistic cravings.

Khandu appealed to all to follow the guidelines circulated by the Health Department and be safe by maintaining social distancing and following safety protocols.
