Armed Forces Flag Day observed in Arunachal

ITANAGAR, Dec 7 - Along with the rest of the country, the Indian Armed Forces Flag Day was observed in Arunachal Pradesh today with people from all walks of life making their contributions towards the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund.

At the Raj Bhavan here, Governor Brig Dr BD Mishra (retd), while donating towards the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund, said that the Flag Day brings to the fore, the country�s obligation towards the welfare of Defence people and those who have sacrificed for the nation.

Appreciating the people for joining him in the benevolent gesture, the Governor said that every penny of the contribution will be spent on the welfare of the Armed Forces personnel.

The Itanagar Raj Bhavan Armed Forces Flag Day team collected contributions from several political leaders including Home Minister Bamang Felix, RWD Minister Honchun Ngandam, Urban Development Minister Kamlung Mosang, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Mama Natung and Education Minister Taba Tedir, senior government officers, media persons and others. The collection proceeds were later deposited to the Armed Forces Fund.
