2 minor boys rescued

JALUKBARI, June 24 - Sahabuddin Ali, an eleven-year-old boy from Jagiroad, who had come to the city in search of some form of livelihood and took up ragpicking as a profession, was rescued by the police near the Kamakhya Railway Station this morning.

Sahabuddin, whose widowed mother lives in Jagiroad, was later shifted to the Government Children Home for boys at Fatasil Ambari.

On the other hand, 14-year-old Montu Biswas who had come to the Ambubachi Mela from Nadia in West Bengal with his grandmother, was rescued by the police from the Kamakhya temple premises after he got separated from his grandmother. He was later reunited with his grandmother.
