2 killed in Mizoram mishap

AIZAWL, June 3 - Two persons got killed and the remaining passengers were injured when a Tata Sumo they were travelling in was crushed by a huge rock and soil in western Mizoram�s Mamit district on Saturday.

The maxicab plying between Aizawl and West Phaileng village met with the disaster around 4 pm between Rawpuichhip and Tut villages.

While a 42-year-old woman Hualthangi, a resident of Khawhnai village, died on the spot, another woman Ramnunsiami, 56, a resident of Manipur, died in the hospital, sources said. All the seven others travelling in the vehicle, including the driver, were injured. Their condition was said to be stable.
