JORHAT, Feb 11 - One person was killed while two others were injured in a road accident yesterday evening at Na-Ali (Jorhat-Titabar Road) at Jalukanibari area. According to a police source, Prashanta Saikia, who was riding a scooty and coming towards Jorhat, collided head-on with a motorcycle in which there were two youths coming from the opposite direction. Saikia, a resident of Barhoibari village under Jalukanibari police outpost, reportedly died on the spot.
The other two youths, namely Dipu Saikia and Akash Saikia of Sonari village of Na-Ali Dhekiajuli area, were seriously injured in the mishap and were undergoing treatment at the Jorhat Medical College and Hospital.
