GUWAHATI, Dec 13 - The Barpeta Sahitya Sabha in its meeting held recently decided to present the Asom Kishori Ambikagiri Raichoudhury Memorial Award 2014-15 to senior journalist and former Editor of Danik Asam, DN Chakravarty.
The Sahitya Sabha unit in its meeting held under the presidentship of Dinesh Das also decided to present the award on December 18 at a function to be held at 2 pm at Barpeta Sahitya Sabha Bhawan on the occasion of the 130th birthday of the revolutionary poet of Assam.
The award contains a cash prize, a packet of books, a shawl and sorai. Noted author Akshay Kumar Mishra will formally present the award.
