MANGALDAI, Jan 5 -� Defending champion Kehutoli Bangrim Club (KBC) ensured a semifinal berth in the ongoing 40th edition of the Amba Medhi Invitational Prize-money Football Tournament here today.
In the last quarterfinal played at the Mangaldai Vidyapith playground KBC edged past spirited Manipur Football Club by a narrow margin of 2-1 goals.
In the eighth minute of the match Musukha Basumatary drew the first blood for the winners. However in the 35th minute Motea Singh equalized for the Manipur outfit. Till half time the match was locked 1-1. Just two minutes after the half time Deepjyoti Barglary struck the winning goal for the winners.
