AMA camp concludes

GUWAHATI, Dec 29 - The adventurous sports camp, organised by the Assam Mountaineering Association (AMA) on five consecutive Sundays, came to an end at Basistha here on December 27. It was the 47th edition of the camp where 62 youths took part. AMA also organised a special camp for children in the age group of 5 to 12 years from December 25 to 27 which was flagged off by the State Chief Secretary VK Pipersenia at the State Zoo premises.

Altogether 76 children took part in the camp led by Dhrubajyoti Bora. AMA president Satyen Sarma, former presidents Swapnanil Baruah, Prafulla Kumar Mahanta, former vice president Sidhartha Bhattacharyya were also present in the opening ceremony of the children�s camp, stated in an AMA release. AMA secretary Manas Baruah in a release stated that from January 20 they will hold a four-day all Assam basis camp and the interested youths may contact the organisers at their Landmark Hotels office, here.
