GUWAHATI, April 5 � The JORBIM JIST Alumni Association meet will be held on April 11 and 12 at the playground of the erstwhile Government Science College, Jorhat, a press release stated.

The organisers have requested all the past students of the college starting from 1975 to join the event organised for the first time. All the past and present teachers of the college will also attend the meet.

The alumni meet will begin at 2 pm on April 11 with the registration of the past students which will be followed by an interaction programme. The day will also see a cultural programme in the evening in memory of former teacher Dr Abani Chandra Goswami.

The next day�s programmes will begin with a friendly football match in memory of former teachers Dr Deba Prasad Saikia and Dr Jyotidhar Rajkhowa at seven in the morning. The other programmes of the concluding day include a cultural procession at 9 am, felicitation of Padma Shri award winner Jadav Payeng and former teachers, tree plantation in memory of former teacher Dr Narendra Nath Goswami and a discussion on the relevance of JORBIM.
