GUWAHATI, April 14 - The Department of Home Science, Handique Girls� College, is organising its first alumni meet on April 27 on the college premises from 3 pm.
Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, Guwahati Director Manoj Kr Das has been invited as the chief guest in view of the huge thrust given to skill development by the government.
Entrepreneurship being a very important component of home science practical training, the alumni meet will be a good opportunity for the past pupils of the department to interact with an experienced person like Das and explore options to start business ventures and create jobs rather than being job-seekers.
All alumni of the department may register their names free of cost, latest by April 25 through any of the faculties or at the department within the specified last date, said a press release.
