By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, Feb 23 - The 33rd edition of the Assamese almanac, Kalpurush Purnanga Panjika, which was released here today, has predicted a coalition government in the State as no political party will emerge with single majority in the forthcoming Assembly election.

The almanac, which has been predicting the good and bad of the State and the country every year, has also hinted at more crisis within the ruling Congress party. The predictions for the Assamese New Year, which begins from the month of Bohag, are a mixed bag for the State with successes and disasters mentioned by the almanac.

Publisher of the almanac Ranjit Kumar Saikia said that he was grateful to the people of the State for supporting the effort and claimed that the circulation of the almanac was increasing every year. He said that the simplicity of the almanac was one major reason for its acceptance among the common people.

The almanac says that stars do not favour the Congress or the BJP and neither will get the majority. On the other hand, the Asom Gana Parishad will witness decrease in its seats tally and will be rejected by the electorate. Seats will decrease for the AIUDF too.
