NAGAON, Oct 14 - In connection with the recent firing as well as snatching incident at a Kathiatoli Fuel Pump, Nagaon Police arrested almost all the miscreants involved directly as well as indirectly in the sensational case. The special operations team of Nagaon Police on Sunday night arrested six accused from various areas of the district. They were absconding. The police also recovered two motorcycles, one 7.65 mm pistol, magazine, and two rounds of live ammunition from their possession which were used in the commission of the firing to rob the manager of the petrol pump, Raju alias Rajkamal Jain.
Addressing a press conference held today at Nagaon police station, SP, Raimedhi said that those who were arrested last night, were identified as Nuruddin, Omar Faruk, Kitab Ali of Dakhin Khatowal, Jogdadul Islam of Madhya Lailuri under Rupahihat PS, Suruj Ali of Batomari under Juria PS and Sarabat Ali of Bogamukh under Samaguri PS in the district.
Raimedhi said that soon after the incident all of them had fled. When the police arrested the prime accused, one Elias from Rangolu Grant on the day of the incident itself, they got the details of the gang and launched a manhaunt.
