GUWAHATI, July 6 � The All Assam Open Ranking Table Tennis & Badminton Championship organised by Don Bosco Alumni under the auspices of the Assam Table Tennis Association and Assam Badminton Association was inaugurated by State Bank of India General Manager Mahindra Aditya Sahu at the Don Bosco School Indoor Stadium and auditorium here today.
Altogether 300 TT players and 180 shuttlers from almost all the districts of the State are participating in the championships.
The flags of the Assam Table Tennis Association (ATTA) and the Assam Badminton Association (ABA) were hoisted by ATTA joint secretary Carfew Roy and ABA secretary Omar Rashid. The Don Bosco Alumni (DBA) flag was hoisted by DBA vice-president Kartick-Phukan, while the school flag was hoisted by vice- principal of the school Fr Xavier Beck.
A souvenir was released on the occasion by chief guest-MA Sahu, stated a press release.
