GUWAHATI, Jan 18 � �Rong�-a visual art organisation, is organising a unique State-level �Maghar Meji� competition, in which participants will have to send via email a maximum of five photographs of �meji�s created by themselves to the organisers within January 31 next.
Organised by visual artist Jyotirmoy Bhuyan and photographer Akshay Sharma, the competition is aimed at showcasing the vibrancy of the Magh Bihu festival, which generally goes unnoticed, before the eyes of the global audience.
There will be no participation fee. The interested can participate individually or as a group. All the photos are to be emailed with details of the participants like name, address, and phone numbers, so as to reach the organisers by this month-end. This was stated in a press release issued here today.
