IMPHAL, March 26 - Nomination papers of all eight candidates contesting from the Outer Manipur Parliamentary constituency in Manipur were found valid during scrutiny in the Thoubal district headquarters here today, officials said.
The eight candidates who filed their nomination papers on Monday are H Shokhopao alias Benjamin Mate (BJP), K James (Congress), Thangminlien Kipgen of the National People�s Party, Ashang Kashar of the NEIDP, Dr Lorho S Pfoze of the Naga People�s Front, Hangkhanpau of the Janata Dal (U), Angam K Kom of the Nationalist Congress Party and Laikham Kaipu, an Independent.
Meanwhile, scrutiny of candidates for the Inner Manipur Parliamentary constituency will be held on Wednesday. The polling for the Outer seat will be held on April 11. The Inner seat will go to polls on April 18.
