GUWAHATI, April 5 - As part of the Covid-19 lockdown�s food relief efforts, Akshaya Patra Foundation has prepared 5000 essential grocery kit packs for distribution among the poor and needy people, who have been affected during this period.
Vijay Pandit Dasa, vice president of Akshaya Patra Foundation met Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, the State Health Minister recently and presented him a sample grocery kit box, a press release stated.
These 5000 grocery kits are supported by Sudha Murthy and NR Narayana Murthy. Each of these kit pack weighs about 12 kg and has ingredients for two adult meals a day for 21 days.
These kits will be distributed among the poor and needy people with the help of the administration.
