Akhil�s march passes through Nagaon

NAGAON, Nov 23 - Thousands of people under the leadership of Akhil Gogoi passed through Nagaon on Sunday demanding dismissal of the Governor of Assam for his alleged communal views.

He started the march on foot from Kaki in Nagaon district on Friday last against communal attitude of the BJP-led Government in Centre and its failure in all sectors. On Saturday, the march passed through Nilbagan and on Sunday they took rest at Krishnai.

Addressing the gathering near Morigaon Syndicate, Akhil said that the Governor, PB Acharjyya, was an agent of RSS and BJP and he disobeyed the Indian Constitution by expressing that �Hindustan is for Hindus�.

He said that the BJP Government at the Centre totally betrayed the people of the country. Once BJP opposed the FDI, but now they opened the gate for FDI even in defence, agriculture and other such sectors.

Criticising the new BJP State president, Sarbananda Sonowal, Akhil said that he (Sonowal) lost his Jatiyatabad character after joining the party.

He also critical the Congress-led State Government which failed to fulfil the aspiration of the common people of the State.

The people participated in the march shouted slogans against communalism. District authorities were on toes to maintain law and order situation during the march. Locals in Nagaon greeted Akhil Gogoi with gamusa.
