�Akashvani FM Mahabahu� to be aired from today

GUWAHATI, Aug 7 - The Guwahati-A broadcasting station of All India Radio will be transformed into �Akashvani FM Mahabahu� from Thursday evening, a statement said.

The new version of the Akashvani Guwahati

will be launched by F Sheheryar, Director General of Akashvani, at a function here.

The FM channel will broadcast in 101.6 Mega Hertz. The channel will broadcast all existing programmes of Akashbani Guwahati-A along with a number of new programmes.

The list of new programmes include �Aponar Babe Ai Geet�, �Bondo Ki Chandere�, �Geet Luit�, �Jana-Mancha�, �Akhalar Diha�, �Ki Nam Di Matim�, �Tri-Dhara�, �Sadhak Sundarar�, �Ashoma Sushoma�, �Geet Manik�, �Rup-Sajja�, �Swasthar Jatan�, �Arange Darange�, etc.

To run the new FM channel, the Akashvani will start a three-day training programme for its announcers from August 9. For the channel flautist Dipak Sarma has composed a signature tune which is a fusion of various tribal music forms of the region.

Along with FM band, the channel will be available in 411.5 medium wave and in AIR LIVE mobile app.
