AJYCP to continue demand for full autonomy

BISWANATH CHARIALI, Aug 7 � �The Asom Jatiyatabadi Juva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) would continue its agitation and demand full autonomy for the State with the help of the people.�

The above was stated by Rana Pratap Baruah, the central general secretary of the students� body. He was taking part in the open session of AJYCP�s central organisational workshop held with a two-day long programme here on July 28 and 29.

He called upon other social organisations of the State to come forward to intensify the struggle against big-dems. The open session was chaired by its district president Pratap Sharma, while general secretary Dibyajyoti Baruah conducted it. President in-charge of the central body, Pulak Borah, president of Sonitpur Zila Sahitya Sabha Bansi Borah, children�s litterateur Dilip Kumar Bauah, Social worker Kamala Khound, AJYCP central committee office bearers, Palash Sangmai, Jitu Sharma etc besides AASU leader Duldul Barkataki, social worker Hiten Goswami, DIET lecturer Bipul Khound also spoke a few words.

A good number of meritorious students were felicitated on the occasion.

Earlier, the workshop commenced on July 28 with flag hoisting and swahid tarpan in the morning. A silent-peace-torch light procession was taken out throughout the town in the evening the Government to give peace a chance in the BTAD areas. Hundreds of AJYCP workers participated in the mass programme.
