GUWAHATI, July 19 - The Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad on Sunday slammed the State Government for its failure in providing relief to all the flood-affected people in a proper manner. The organisation also demanded adequate funds to Assam in such a situation.
Meanwhile, Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA)�s report stated that altogether 26 districts are reeling under floodwaters, affecting 27,63,719 people in 2,678 villages under 79 revenue circles.
Although the flood situation has slightly improved, it may deteriorate again as the meteorological department has predicted heavy rainfall in some parts of the State in the next few days.
