AZARA, Feb 8: Asom Jatiya Parishad (AJP) activists staged a protest on the airport premises today against the Central government’s decision to privatise the LGBI Airport.

Displaying banners, posters and placards, the AJP activists shouted slogans against the Centre’s decision and demanded withdrawal of the same.

AJP general secretary Jagadish Bhuyan, vice president Dulu Ahmed, secretaries Rajib Bhattacharya, Amal Deka, Prince Faijul Haque, and activists of Jatiya Yuva Sakti and Jatiya Mahila Sakti also took part in the protest.

The AJP later submitted a memorandum in this regard to the Airport Director Ramesh Kumar.
