AJP forms youth wing

GUWAHATI, Oct 16 - Asom Jatiya Parishad (AJP) today started the process of forming its youth wing �Jatiya Yuba Shakti� by constituting a conveners� committee comprising youth representatives from across the State.

In a programme held at the Kumar Bhaskar Natya Mandir here today, the AJP formed the conveners� body with 12 chief conveners and 75 State conveners.

The chief advisors of the committee included Lakimoni Barua, Dr Dulen Bora, Amir Hussain, Dr Lakshyajyoti Bora, Dipankar Doley, Chandrapal Barua and others.

The youth body would focus on issues like suitable employment for the youth of Assam, revival of old and ailing industries, upgrading the level of higher education at par with world-class academic institutions, as well as exposing and abolishing the trend of nepotism, corruption and favoritism during recruitments for the State government jobs.
