Ajmal urges PM to take up flood, erosion problems

NEW DELHI, June 6 � AIUDF president Badruddin Ajmal today urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take note of the flood and erosion problems of Assam.

Ajmal, who was welcoming Speaker Sumitra Mahajan after her election to the post of Speaker of the Lok Sabha, expressed his hopes that issues like this would be given time.

Former Chief Minister and new MP from Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio congratulated the newly elected Speaker on behalf of the Naga People�s Front and also the North East Regional Parties Front. Stating that though Nagaland is now 50 years old, Rio said the State has a lot of problems and the political issue of the Nagas is yet to be resolved.
