GUWAHATI, Jan 27 - AIUDF chief and Lok Sabha MP Badruddin Ajmal has threatened to file defamation suit against Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi.
Ajmal took the decision following allegations made by Gogoi that the AIUDF supremo has an understanding with the BJP and also for comparing the AIUDF with the RSS.
�On the one hand Tarun Gogoi tells media that Congress wants an alliance/understanding with AIUDF. On the other hand, he compares us with RSS. Tarun Gogoi�s allegations are false and baseless. He is confused. He should better clear his position,� Ajmal said in a statement.
He added, �Comparing AIUDF with RSS and BJP is ridiculous and completely unacceptable. I give him seven days to give proof of our link with RSS and BJP or Gogoi (should) withdraw his statement.�
