Ajai Lamba sworn in as Gauhati HC CJ

GUWAHATI, Oct 8 - Justice Ajai Lamba was sworn in as the Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court on Monday.

Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi administered him the oath of office at a solemn function in presence of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal held at Darbur Hall in Raj Bhavan.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Judges of Gauhati High Court, members from legal fraternity, Chief Secretary Alok Kumar, DGP Kuladhar Saikia and other senior officials of the State government. A former Judge of Allahabad High Court, Justice Lamba had graduated with Honours Degree in English from Government College in Chandigarh and joined the LL.B. Course in Punjab University, Chandigarh.
