Aizawl Civil Hospital bags Kayakalp award

AIZAWL, Oct 28 - Kayakalp awards were given away at Chaltlang Tourist Lodge Conference Hall in the presence of Mizoram Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla here recently.

Aizawl Civil Hospital secured the first prize carrying Rs 50 lakh and a citation.

Kolasib district hospital came in the second and was given a Commendation award carrying Rs 3 lakh and a citation while Mamit district hospital which came third was given a citation.

Kayakalp awards scheme is part of Swatchh Bharat Abhiyan and aims at promoting cleanliness, hygiene and infection control practices in public health care facilities.
