GUWAHATI, Mar 7 � Refuting reports about a likely alliance with the ruling Congress for the forthcoming general elections, the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) today said the party is exploring friendship with non-Congress and non-BJP forces.
AIUDF working president Dr Aditya Langthasha said in a statement that his party has already received feelers from Sharad Pawar of NCP, Mukul Roy of Trinamool Congress and Mulayam Singh Yadav of the Samajwadi Party and talks with them are possible. He dismissed as false recent reports in certain sections that AIUDF may reach an understanding with Congress for the polls.
