GUWAHATI, May 4 - The qualifying round matches of the AITA Championship Series Tennis Tournament for boys and girls U-12 years started today at the All Assam Tennis Association Complex, Chachal, here. The final qualifying round matches will be completed tomorrow. The main draw matches will start from May 6.
The tournament comprises of both singles and doubles events. Altogether 45 players, both boys and girls are participating in the tournament.
Only one match could be completed today due to incessant rain. Mehul Jothish (TN) defeated Satmadip Karmakar (AS) 6-0, 6-0.
