IMPHAL, July 5: In a move to realise the much awaited Imphal-Mandalay air service, Air KBZ, one of the premier airlines of Myanmar has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Imphal based KB Enterprises, sources in Imphal said on Friday.
The MoU was signed between Chief Operating Officer U Kyaw Han of Air KBZ and Pangambam Kunjabihari of KB Enterprises in the presence of Chairman U Aung Aung Zaw of Air KBZ at the head office of Air KBZ, Yangon on Wednesday.
This would be one of the first scheduled flights that will fly from the Imphal International Airport, said the source.
Few years back, KB Enterprises was instrumental in bringing the Golden Myanmar flight from Myanmar during Manipur�s annual tourism Sangai Festival and so far there had been nine international Golden Myanmar flights that have landed at the Imphal International Airport marking it as an international airport.
