GUWAHATI, May 10 - The Regional News Unit of the All India Radio Guwahati has found a unique method to engage people positively and constructively during lockdown.
Apart from airing news and special COVID-19 programmes, the unit has adopted methods to connect to listeners through quiz.
�Love for quiz is universal. Keeping this in mind, a series of quiz programmes have been organised. Eight quiz events have been organised during the lockdown to keep our listeners engaged in a positive direction. We have received a very encouraging response,� News Editor Manas Pratim Sarma said.
One such quiz was organised during the COVID-19 special Dristipat programme.
The Assam Police, CID, NHM, ASDMA, Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission, Education Department and the Sports Authority of Assam partnered with the All India Radio in this effort.
The last episode of the quiz was broadcast on Sunday with My Gov Assam. Over a thousand quizzers and radio listeners have been taking part in the events.
