GUWAHATI, Jan 23 - The Assam Branch of the All India People�s Science Network (AIPSN) is organising a seminar on science in ancient India at 4 pm tomorrow at the Machkhowa Pragjyoti ITA Centre for Performing Arts. The event is being organised in keeping with the birth centenary celebrations of renowned scholar Debi Prasad Chattopadhaya.
Dr Sivanath Barman will conduct the seminar, said a press release. The main lecture on the topic �Science and scientific temper in the ancient Indian society� will be given by former DKD College teacher and noted writer Dr Girish Barua, while former Gauhati University professor Dr Barindra Kumar Sarma will speak on the history of science and scientific temperament.
