GUWAHATI, Dec 17 - Remembering Aideu Handique, the leading lady of the first Assamese film Joymoti, on the occasion of her death anniversary, Jyoti Chitrabon organised �Aideu Smaran�, a tribute-paying programme, on its premises at Kahilipara here today.
The programme was organised in association with Dr Bhupen Hazarika Regional Government Film and Television Institute and Adda, an organisation promoting short films in the State, under the patronage of Jyoti Chitrabon chairman Pabitra Margherita.
Assamese film director Arup Manna, who has made the critically acclaimed film Aideu (Behind the Screen), was the special guest in the event.
Jyoti Chitrabon�s former secretary Dayaram Rajbongshi, actress Bina Baruwati, playwright Shambhu Gupta, actor Upakul Bordoloi, among others, were also present on the occasion.
