GUWAHATI, May 23 - The city-based Dr Manik Chandra Dutta Memorial Society has extended help to a poor but meritorious girl student of Rangiya Simolia area in Kamrup district, who could secure 86 per cent marks in the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination-2019, studying in a dilapidated house bereft of even basic materials like table, chair, etc, stated a press release.
This bright student, Dipamoni Kalita, daughter of a daily wage earner, was presented with a reading table and other essential items by the Society with the assurance of providing additional assistance to support her endeavours for getting higher education.
The Society has been extending help to needy students for the past seven years, stated the press release.
