By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, June 8 - Senior city-based journalist Nand Kishor Gupta is at present undergoing treatment for a serious ailment at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. Associated with Hindi daily Purvanchal Prahari, Gupta (46), who is also a member of the Guwahati Press Club, was diagnosed with gall bladder cancer.

As the treatment entails substantial costs and his family finds it difficult to meet the growing medical expenditure, the press club has urged the new government at Dispur to extend financial support to the middle class family at this time of crisis.

Guptas well-wishers may also contribute towards his treatment and deposit amounts to his bank account (Nand Kishor Gupta, Union Bank of India, Chandmari branch, A/C No. 380602011047). The contributors may get in touch with his brother, Ashok Kumar Gupta, and journalist Sanjoy Ray for further details.
