By The Assam Tribune

GUWAHATI, June 22 - Prof Anil D Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi visited Royal Global University today and met Chancellor AK Pansari, Vice-Chancellor Prof SP Singh and other senior officers of the university, according to a press release.

Prof Sahasrabudhe took a short tour of the campus and briefly interacted with the faculty and staff members of the university. He appreciated the creative and enthusiastic faculty members and the infrastructure of the university.

During his interaction with faculty and staff members the AICTE Chairman emphasised that the most important skill that a faculty/head/dean should possess is listening skills and a good teacher should be open to learning from everyone, including the young students. He also stated that the teaching process should be interactive rather than a one-way process so that all the students of a class are involved in creating a better learning environment. Todays era being innovation-driven, he suggested to the faculty members to motivate the young innovative minds to share new ideas and follow their dreams.

He advised the faculty members to become great teachers by following the path shown by former President the late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam who had visited the university. He said that apart from being the President of India and a renowned scientist, Dr Kalam was also an extraordinarily great teacher.

Dr MS Gughe, Eastern Regional Officer, AICTE ERO, Kolkata and AICTE North East Camp office, Guwahati was also present during the interaction.
