GUWAHATI, April 18 - The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has appealed to all the private senior secondary schools recognised by it to extend donations to help the Government of Assam in the fight against COVID-19.
In its appeal, AHSEC has urged the principals of all permitted senior secondary schools (except provincialised, deficit and government senior secondary schools) affiliated by it to donate a fund from their institution through RTGS to Assam Cooperative Apex Bank Ltd., Silpukhuri Branch, Guwahati A/C no 101042010003084 IFSC Code HDFC0CACABL within April 27, 2020.
AHSEC will deposit the contributions received from the senior secondary schools in the government account with a list of names of the donor schools, mentioning the amounts donated. In its appeal, the council also mentioned that a minimum amount of Rs 10,000 should come from each of the schools in this hour of crisis.
