GUWAHATI, June 24 - State Agriculture Minister Atul Bora on Thursday chaired a review meeting on different ongoing agriculture schemes at his secretariat office.
The schemes include National Food Security Mission, Rashtriya Krishi Vikash Yojana, National Mission on Oil Seeds and Oil palm, National e-Governance Programme and Soil Health Card scheme.
During the meeting, the Minister laid stress on ensuring optimum benefits to the farmers by linking them with various nationalized banks.
He also said that a meeting with top officials of various banks will be held soon to discuss the issues related to direct beneficiary transfer (DBT).
Bora also directed the authorities to immediately distribute the 200-odd power tillers which have not reached the beneficiary till now.
Beside Atul Bora, Additional Chief Secretary cum Agricultural Production Commissioner VB Pyarelal, was also present on the occasion.
