GUWAHATI, March 25 - With the entire country under lockdown on account of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the State Agriculture Department today directed all the district agricultural officers to furnish the stock availability of fruits and vegetable.
�The department has taken necessary steps to ensure supply of vegetables and fruits to common public. In this connection, all the district agricultural officers have been requested to furnish the stock availability of fruits and vegetable, along with other details so that the information about the availability of such items may be communicated to the Food and Civil Supply Department on regular basis,� said an official.
A meeting on regular supply of fruits and vegetables and other issues related to Agriculture Department during the period of lockdown and COVID-19 pandemic will be held tomorrow at Dispur.
