Agri, allied services share in Mizoram pegged at 26.28 pc

AIZAWL, April 1 - The share of agriculture and allied services in Mizoram�s economy was projected to increase to 26.28 per cent as against 17.66 per cent during 2011-12, said Economic Survey Mizoram 2017-18.

The survey report was laid on the table of the State Assembly by Finance Minister Lalsawta recently. The manufacturing and industry sector�s share has been gradually rising and is projected at 26.58 per cent in 2016-17, it said.

However, the services sector has witnessed a gradual decline from as high a share as 59.43 per cent in 2011-12 to 47.68 per cent at constant (2011-12) prices in 2015-16. It was estimated at 47.14 per cent in 2016-17, the survey said.

The Economic Survey also said that the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) has clocked 12 per cent average annual growth rate during the 2012-13 to 2016-17 fiscals.

Mizoram�s per capita income for the financial year 2016-17 was projected at Rs 1,25,107 as against the estimated national per capita income for the same period at Rs 1,03,219, it added. � PTI
